How to Get Rid of Chest Acne Fast
Acne vulgaris is a common skin disease that usually occurs when a person hits puberty. The disease generally surfaces in people who have greasy or oily skin. When a person hits puberty, their skin starts getting thicker. The first signs of acne generally appear on a person’s face. It’s the most exposed part of the body, after all.
Your skin is made up of thousands of tiny little pores. These pores serve as a medium for releasing oil that’s created in the sweat glands. You might not know about it, but there’s a complex defense system that maintains hydration and ensures that your skin remains elastic. If you don’t drink a lot of water, your skin will begin to crack and stretch. The sebaceous glands then start producing more oil in order to keep the skin hydrated. Now, under ideal circumstances, the oil would be released through the pores of your skin. However, in certain situations, the oil might get trapped in the pores of your skin, thus trapping bacteria and dead skin cells. This leads to the creation of whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, and a lot of other issues. That’s what acne really is.
Now, most people are under the impression that acne only occurs on the face. That isn’t true at all. Acne breakouts can occur all over the body, even in places where you could never have thought possible. It’s a skin condition, not a face condition, so to speak. A very large number of people suffer from chest acne. Pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, and lesions can easily form on a person’s chest, thus preventing you from wearing those low-cut dresses. According to a recent research report that was conducted by a private institution, people who suffered from chest acne also had very low self-esteem.
Everything You Need to Know About Chest Acne
Many people who come up to me ask me why they shouldn’t buy the first product that they can find in the cosmetics aisle for getting rid of acne and acne scars, and apply it to their chest. There’s a reason for that: most of the products available today are used to treat acne on the face, and not on the chest. There’s a difference in texture between the skin on your chest and the skin on your face. Also, you wouldn’t know anything about the many different ingredients used in most ointments and creams. If you really want to get rid of acne on your face and your body, it will require a combination of medicinal treatment and lifestyle changes. Here’s what you need to know.
How to Get Rid of Chest Acne– Lifestyle Changes
One of the biggest causes of acne and breakouts is the way you lead your life. A number of comparison studies have shown that people who smoke a lot, tend to eat junk food in large amounts, and do not properly care for their skin, are at a much greater risk of developing acne. Here are the most essential changes that you need to make to your lifestyle to combat acne.
The food you eat has a direct relationship with the texture and quality of your skin. In order to regulate the amount of oil production and to keep your skin looking healthy, your body requires a number of different vitamins. Vitamin A and E are the most important, since they help in melanin production and pigmentation. It also combats the growth of skin bacteria. One of the biggest issues that so many people fail to acknowledge is the consumption of sugar. Almost every commercially available food item nowadays contains some sugar. The sugar carbohydrates can exacerbate the skin infection considerably.
Another thing that so many people are surprised to hear is that exercise actually plays a very important role in the treatment of acne. When you exercise, your body releases sweat through your glands. This can remove the blockage in the pores of your skin and make it smooth and soft. The additional release of sweat from the glands also releases toxins from the skin. You need to spend at least an hour in the gym or perform any other exercise at home. It might take a short while for the changes to appear, but you will be completely satisfied with how quickly the texture of your skin changes.
3. Cigarette Smoking
Last but not the least, you need to avoid smoking altogether. I won’t even delve into the details of this one: there are practically hundreds of different guides and articles on the Web that talk about just how harmful cigarette smoking really is. Not only does it harm your skin, but cigarettes can also affect your overall health. It is also one of the leading causes of lung cancer.
According to privately conducted research, acne is the 8th most common disease in the world, affecting almost 660 million across the globe. Making these simple lifestyle changes could lead to a litany of positive effects, both within and without. It should be known that lack of sleep and excessive stress are also two of the major causes of chest acne. This can cause an excessive production of sebum oil in the skin, which is what causes acne in the first place.
How to Get Rid of Acne On Your Chest– Natural Remedies
Now, it’s obvious that the lifestyle changes that I have mentioned above won’t work miraculously overnight. It will take at least a few weeks for the effects to show. However, what about the traces of acne that are already present on your chest? Well, not to worry. I have come up with a series of simple remedies that you can use to reduce acne on the chest and to completely get rid of this problem.
I have propagated the positive effects of oatmeal on many occasions in the past, and I will proudly state that this wonderful food item can also be used for treating chest acne. Oatmeal can help absorb the excessive oil in your skin and also clean the pores, removing any traces of dirt after you are done cleaning it up. Using oatmeal is also quite simple: all you need to do is cook it up, add a teaspoon of honey and lemon juice into the mix to create a paste, and then apply to your chest area. Just let it dry on your skin for half an hour before rinsing it off with warm water.
2. Lemon Juice
The reason why almost every dermatologist recommends lemon juice for a variety of different skin-related problems is simple: lemon contains a very high amount of acid. This helps in cleaning the dirt that gets lodged in the pores for long periods of time. Lemon juice can also be used for clearing out blockages caused by the sebaceous glands and is, therefore, one of the most effective items for chest acne treatment. Just cut open a lemon and apply the juice on the area with acne. It might irritate the skin in the beginning. If the irritation continues to increase, wash off the lemon juice with warm water. However, if it doesn’t irritate the skin at all (most likely), you should just leave the juice on for at least a few hours before washing it off. Do this treatment at least three times a week to get the best results. Lemon for acne and acne scars remedy is one of the most used methods o get rid of acne in general.
3. Baking Soda
Again, baking soda for acne is one of the many acne treatments that I have already talked about in the past. After all, if it isn’t broken, why fix it, right? Baking soda is a very powerful exfoliant and can be used for removing skin debris from the pores in a thorough fashion. It is widely used in a variety of different mixtures for treating acne. Moreover, baking soda also contains a few anti-inflammatory properties, which can minimize the number of blackheads and whiteheads on your skin. Just mix a little bit of baking soda in water, or sprinkle a little bit of lemon juice in between. Then, rub the baking soda on the affected area of the skin and leave it there for around 10 minutes. You can then rinse it off.
4. Milk, Honey, and Radish Seeds
This is another simple remedy. Take a spoonful of radish seeds and mix them with one tablespoon of milk and honey, preferably raw honey for acne. You can also use a blender in order to create a thick paste. The thick paste can then be applied on the acne-affected region. Leave it on the skin for at least two hours. It will become dry and hard after a while. You need to wash it with cool water. After washing it off, remember to apply an oil-free moisturizer to the region. This has been used as a remedy for treating acne infections for many years now, and has proven to be very effective. I’ve
